How to Apply for CSIR Exam refers to the process of registering and submitting an application to participate in the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) National Eligibility Test (NET), a competitive exam in India for determining the eligibility of candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and Lectureships (LS) in the areas of science and technology. Candidates who qualify for the CSIR NET exam are eligible to apply for research fellowships and lectureships at various CSIR laboratories and universities across India.
The CSIR NET exam is conducted twice a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam is held in computer-based mode and consists of three sections: Part A (General Aptitude), Part B (Subject-Specific Aptitude), and Part C (Research Aptitude). Candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks in each section and the overall exam are considered qualified for the award of JRF or LS.
